The Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computational Systems Security (SBSeg) is the flagship annual conference of the Special Interest Group on Systems and Information Security (CE-Seg) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). The symposium brings together Brazilian information security researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and results. SBSeg provides the opportunity for the community to get together, discuss and promote advances in the field. Since the event was created, in 2001, it has established itself as the most important scientific event on security in South America. The symposium includes technical sessions, keynotes, tutorials and satellite workshops.
The 15th Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computational Systems Security will be held in the city of Florianopolis, Santa Catarina from November 9, 2015 to November 12, 2015. Florianopolis is the state capital of Santa Catarina state, Southern Brazil. Located on an island, the city is surrounded by gorgeous sea resorts which attracts tourists from all over the world. In November, it will be Spring and the weather is mostly sunny and warm. The city has a beautiful landscape, with mountains and trails, with a wealth of opportunities for outdoor adventures, including hiking, mountain biking, standup paddling, surfing, wind-surfing, and kite-surfing.
The event is being organized by Departamento de Automação e Sistemas (DAS) of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), and Centro de Ciências Tecnológicas da Terra e do Mar (CTTMar) of Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI).
